| Bio: | Character's Name: Ororo Munroe Codename: Figment? Will get back to this. Maybe she can change her codename as often as Dani did *eyeshift* Age: 31 Powers: Danielle Moonstar - The capability to generate three dimensional images of a person's fears and desires. Her energy can be shaped to form raw plasma or tangible weapons such as spirit lances or arrows that would allow her to concentrate her energy on a specific target. When hit, the targets can be incapacitated by overwhelming them with images connected to strong emotional states. Ororo can also communicate with higher mammals, primates and certain domestic animals (cats, dogs and birds) telepathically. She can establish an empathic connection and read their minds, allowing a rapport to be built. Biography/History: Born in Manhattan, Ororo is the child of American photojournalist David Munroe and Kenyan princess N'Dare. Ororo Munroe had the picture of a happy childhood only disrupted when her father's assignment forced them all to move to an Egypt in the midst of civil strife. When Ororo was 5, a fighter jetplane crashed on their apartment killing Ororo's parents instantly and trapping the young girl amidst the rubble and the corpses of her parents. She was unearthed by a group of children, who are under the tutelage of a notorious thief named Achmed El-Gibar. The orphaned Ororo moved to Cairo's market district where Achmed's street urchins roam free to survive through stealing, something Ororo would demonstrate an impeccable expertise on. She would remain with the group, rising among the ranks as Achmed's best student, until such time when her mutation began to emerge when she was 12. The terrible death of her parents never left Ororo alone. Oftentimes she would dream of it and soon enough she could experience it very vividly. Every now and then, the sky would start to fall. She would hear the low drone of an aircraft, then there would be the rumble that will lead to the eventual crashing of the jet. It was even more distressing because everyone else in Achmed's gang of children thieves could see it. These representations of Ororo's nightmares were not real, but still they bothered those who lived around Ororo. Achmed did not want to let go of his prize pupil, but when the images were already getting out of hand, Ororo took it upon herself to leave, preferring to be in isolation so not to torment others any further. She took odd jobs most of which put her into threatening situations that forced her to project her illusions. Ororo had never been more scared about what she could do since it came to a point that she could glimpse others' darkest fears. So Ororo did her best to do away from dangerous missions, and by that she tried to do an honest living. One of which was becoming a local guide particularly to a group of thieves based in America. There she met Remy LeBeau in his first overseas job. Through Remy, she learned that there was a name to her strange abilities and that there was a man who had been working primarily to help people with such talents. And so Ororo was finally taken back to where she was born, in New York. With enough pocket money and a piece of paper containing an address, she found her way to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Her first setback was immediately the culture clash, coming from a harsh improverish environment where basic necessities have to be snatched to be in her reach. People spoke, looked and behaved differently. The foreign circumstances only intensified the difficulty to cope with her powers, which remained elusive to pin down. Nonetheless, the school had been supportive of orienting her about the new way of life. There were people like Jean who constantly talked to her and like Warren who was left no choice but to provide assistance in handling the abilities overwhelming Ororo. On top of these, Ororo received an education which she faithfully followed through. The school became intrinsically a part of her growth. With this in consideration and her 'leader of the pack' history way back, she was given a position to co-lead the X-Men with Scott. It's still something that she sees as something like a silly choice but she does her best to fit the label really. Being leader does have its perks after all. Ororo is a photographer, after her father. If she's not in the mansion, she would be out in the field. Personality: Tragedies have befallen and hardships were left to be endured, but Ororo kept a firm, steadfast character thanks to the people who have raised her. Although short-lived, her parents taught her to value herself and her origins. Despite being orphaned very young in a strange place, Ororo never lost hope and thought positively of a greater destiny somewhere. Although very questionable in his methods, Achmed El-Gibar had taught discipline, a sense of responsibility, and ironically, justice. With these, Ororo nurtured leadership skills, a morality towards her acts and a big sister sort of responsibility in looking after her peers. Seeing life in all walks, Ororo has also formed a humble disposition. And after spending most of her childhood running carefree in Cairo's market district and doing all kinds of mischief, Ororo still retains her being active, sneaky, and playful. She loves mingling with different kinds of people or blending in situations. Strengths: In thievery skills, Ororo does her master proud. While it's been some time since Ororo was engaged in larceny, she still makes great use of the expertise. When it comes to covert missions, Ororo is a perfect candidate to tap on. Ororo is talented in stealth, in secrecy, in infiltration, and indeed, manipulation. After all, this is what her powers allow her to do. She has enough grasp of her abilities. Enough to moderate it or to deliberately project her astral images as she pleases, even at several targets. Over the years Ororo has become less affected, less distracted and less attached with the images. In intense concentration, she may project them as tangible but that would require an exhausting amount of concentration and would easily drain Ororo. Besides these, Ororo knows hand to hand combat and could use a pocket knife well. Weaknesses: Ororo still needs to be under the close tutelage of an alpha or omega level telepath to be able to discover her fullest potentials. That, or much further practice. Her target also needs to be in her line of sight. Her powers lose effect if she lacks concentration or if her target has a greater mental will enough to see her images as not real. To leave Ororo in a room of inanimate objects, or amongst the company of artificial intelligence, is rendering her powers useless. Her abilities are very dependent on her focus and presence of mind. Without them her powers could not function, and may even go out of control. The accident that killed her parents also left Ororo scarred with Claustrophobia, a fear of tight spaces. Leaving her in one would not just terrify Ororo, it may also overstimulate her abilities. Appearance: Ororo has inherited her mother side's white hair and her father's blue eyes. She is tall at 5'11" with a lean muscular athletic built. Her favorite kind of attire is loose and laid back, though most often than not she likes to experiment on her looks.
